About Us

This year will be Nepean Cancer Care Centre, Penrith 14th year participating in Dry July. We are grateful to be a part of the Dry July Foundation fundraising campaign. Over the years our patients and the service has benefitted from the refurbishment of our waiting room and outdoor courtyard, enhancements of the radiation therapy treatment rooms, upgrading our wig library, purchases of specialised equipment for both inpatient and outpatient care and patient wellness programs. Cancer affects the mind, body and spirit, which is why we strive to offer a holistic approach to treatment and healing, encompassing physical, emotional, social and spiritual care. We understand that this can be a difficult and sometimes frightening time for patients, as well as for their family and friends.

Nepean Cancer Services includes a dedicated inpatient ward and outpatient facilities. Nepean Cancer & Wellness Centre, situated at Kingswood provides Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Haematology and Palliative Care resources that provide a collaborative approach to patient centered care. Our services extend to Lithgow and the Hawkesbury area.

The departments work together with community services to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care. This multidisciplinary approach to treatment and healing encompasses physical, emotional and social care. The centre offers a team of psycho-oncology and allied health staff to give our patients the extra support they may need. Nepean Cancer & Wellness Centre provides a comprehensive range of specialised services including outpatient clinics, Chemotherapy / Infusion centres, as well as apheresis to support Autologous Bone Marrow Transplant Service and Radiation Treatment. The outpatient services see more than 250 patients a day.

In 2024 we continue our goal to support patients of Nepean Cancer Care Centre, Penrith by participating in Dry July. Please feel welcome to join us in making a difference to our patient's experience.
