This Dry July, I'm remembering my cousin Adam.
A year before he passed away following his struggles with mental health, Adam took part in Dry July, and he did so incredibly well. I was so proud of him and everything he achieved during that time. Seeing his commitment and determination made a lasting impression on all of us who cared about him.
I can't think of a more fitting way to honour Adam and keep his spirit alive than by supporting a cause that helps others. Adam had such a big heart. He was always thinking of other people, always ready to give his time, kindness and support. Contributing to something that helps people and gives back to the community feels like a beautiful way to share a little of that "Adamness" with others.
It's the perfect word to describe the impact he had on everyone around him. Adam was kind, generous, compassionate, and embodied so many of the best qualities a person can have. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, and through the kindness and care we continue to show one another in his memory.
This Dry July, I'm proud to honour Adam's memory and support a cause that reflects the kindness, generosity and care that defined him.
