Thanks to your support during Dry July 2026, Canberra Hospitals Foundation raised an incredible $7,243. The funds raised will go towards thoughtful initiatives at the Canberra Region Cancer Centre that bring comfort, calm and connection to patients, families and carers during treatment.

This will include continuing the Therapeutic Harp Program, supporting the volunteer-run tea trolley service (pictured below) and providing fresh flower displays throughout the Centre. Together, these thoughtful initiatives will help reduce stress and create moments of comfort, calm and connection during treatment.

With your help, we can continue to fund the Canberra Region Cancer Centre tea trolley, which is stocked weekly with tea, beverages and snacks for cancer patients and their loved ones who visit. Receiving a tea, coffee or snack when you’re receiving treatment or you’re waiting for a loved one is just one small but significant way to ease what can often be a difficult time for cancer patients.

It’s kindness and compassion from our community that makes patients smile – no matter what they’re going through, a cup of tea and some comfort goes a long way.
