During the Dry July 2026 campaign you helped Charlies Foundation for Research raised an incredible $12,266. These funds will create a more welcoming and supportive environment for people receiving cancer treatment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

The Cancer Care Unit will undergo improvements to its waiting areas, including more comfortable seating, calming décor, children’s activities, refreshments and better access to information and resources. These improvements will help create a more inclusive and family-friendly space for patients, carers and visitors.

"When someone receives a cancer diagnosis, life changes in an instant - not only for the patient, but for the children, families and loved ones who walk alongside them.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Dry July supporters, we will be able to help transform the Cancer Care Centre at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, creating more welcoming and supportive spaces that provide comfort, connection and reassurance during some of the most difficult moments in a person’s cancer journey.

These improvements will make a meaningful difference, helping patients and their loved ones feel supported, valued and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.
