hi my name is molly woods and this year i will be raising money through @dryjuly to then get donated to @mummyswish an organisation very close to home, continue reading if you’d like to meet me and my mum
you can also find my mum and i on my public instagram page @mollyy.woods
i recently lost my mum on the 20th of april, less than a month after my 19th birthday. my mums name is natalie yvonne woods and my mum did beat cancer. she was diagnosed with non-hodgkin lymphoma a month after her 50th birthday in january 2025. she officially beat cancer april of 2026! she passed away from a nasty common virus called CMV that only flares up if the body’s immune system is at its weakest. she is a fighter and beat cancer, but the brightest stars really do burn first
for those of you that personally know me you may have picked up that i am not the biggest drinker, some would say a social drinker. however i obviously never hesitated to share a espresso martini with mum 🍸

i have chosen specifically to donate to this fundraiser as they understand that when a mum is diagnosed with cancer, her greatest wish is for her children’s wellbeing. for those of you that personally know me, you’ll know that i have been so lucky to be born with hard working parents that have set us three girls up absolutely perfectly and i am forever grateful for their hard work. when my mum natalie and my dad keith met in their early 20’s they had a goal and committed together. they traveled the world first, earnt money, bought their first house together, which i then grew up in, until moving from ireland to the gold coast australia at age six before my seventh birthday in the following march
my sisters and i are incredibly lucky that we have the support around us, however others aren’t as fortunate and unfortunately we can’t control who cancer chooses as it’s victims
we only lose our mum once, i want to do this right, and i will. for my future, and for my future kids so i can also one day be there for my kids like the way my mum and dad were, and still are
this is in honour of you mum. the money raised is for all the little ones not as fortunate, i’ve got your back i promise you
i love you most mum, thank you for raising me so perfectly
So amazing Molly!
