This Dry July, I’m giving up alcohol for a cause that means more to me than words can express.
As a bowel cancer survivor, I know firsthand how quickly life can change. The fear of diagnosis, the endless appointments, treatments, uncertainty, and the emotional toll it takes on both you and the people who love you is something I will never forget. There were days when I didn’t know what the future would hold, but through strength, support, and determination, I made it through.
Not everyone is as fortunate.
That’s why I’m raising funds for Bowel Cancer Australia. I want to help ensure that more people receive the support they need, that awareness continues to grow, and that research keeps moving us closer to a future where fewer families have to experience the heartbreak that bowel cancer brings.
This challenge is about much more than giving up alcohol for a month. It’s about giving back. It’s about honouring those still fighting, remembering those we’ve lost, and helping create hope for those who will face this disease in the future.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, you will be helping make a real difference in the lives of Australians affected by bowel cancer.
Thank you for supporting me, standing with me, and helping turn my experience into something positive for others. Together, we can help save lives and beat this horrible disease.
