This July, I’m taking on a challenge that’s deeply personal to me. 🤍
In June, I lost my beautiful dad, Allan, to cancer.
Watching someone you love go through cancer changes you forever. While nothing can take away the heartbreak of losing Dad, I wanted to honour his memory in a way that could help other families facing the same journey.
This July, I’ve signed up for Dry July and committed to walking and running 250 km throughout the month in Dad’s honour.
I’m inviting anyone who would like to support me to:
🤍 Sponsor me per kilometre (for example $1 or $2 per km)
🤍 Make a one-off donation
🤍 Or simply share this post to help spread the word.
Every kilometre will be completed with Dad in my heart, and every dollar raised will help provide comfort, care and practical support for Australians affected by cancer.
Dad was one of the kindest, hardest-working people I have ever known. He taught me resilience, generosity and the importance of always helping others. I hope this challenge continues that legacy.
If you’re a business and would like to sponsor my 250 km challenge or match donations, I’d love to hear from you.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my family over the past few weeks. Your kindness has meant more than words can express.
For you, Dad. Every step of the way. 🤍🕊️
In loving memory of Allan Kevin Manser

Your dad was a wonderful person Mel. So glad you are finding such a great way of honouring him and supporting others with cancer.
