This July, I'm giving up alcohol for someone who meant everything to me—my beautiful mum.

Mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, a disease that changed our lives forever. She fought with incredible strength and courage for 18 months, facing every challenge with a bravery that continues to inspire me every day. Tragically, the cancer spread to her liver, and she was then battling liver cancer as well.

Watching someone you love go through so much pain is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. Cancer doesn't just affect the person diagnosed—it impacts every family member, every friend, and every moment you share together.

I'm taking part in Dry July in Mum's honour and in memory of her incredible fight. By giving up alcohol for one month, I'm hoping to raise funds to support people and families who are facing this devastating disease. Every dollar raised helps provide comfort, care, and support to those who need it most.
