Hi all,
Im doing Dry July this year to raise money for the Mater Hospital in Newcastle for multiple reasons. As some of you will know, my niece Brooke was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer in March. The Mater hospital were amazing and continue to be amazing in caring for her, so i'm raising funds for them. My mindset is if Brooke can do chemo every week like she has for 14 weeks so far, i can steer clear of a beer.
The 2nd reason i am doing this is for Lily my 2nd cousin. Growing up my family and Lily's mums family were always close, so it saddened me greatly to hear that at just 19, Lilly was diagnosed with a rare cancer and she too is being treated by the Mater. Cancer is a jerk and doesnt discriminate but to have 2 young people impacted in the prime of their life is bullshit so please donate generously. Sorry for the long post.
