Dry July update (well, dry since May 23 actually)
Not gonna lie, I still look at a cold one on a Friday night with the footy on and think about it. That part hasn't changed.
But here's what has. Since I stopped drinking 7 weeks ago:
Body fat: down 5.1kg
Waist: down 7.2cm
Visceral fat: down 23cm²
Bio age: 41 to 38
And here's the thing I didn't expect. Quitting the beers wasn't just one change, it kicked off a chain of them. I'm consciously drinking way more water now. I've upped my protein. I'm making better calls around food without even trying that hard.
Turns out alcohol wasn't just the drink, it was the anchor holding a few other habits in place.
Quitting has been the platform for a whole healthier lifestyle, and honestly I'm sleeping better, recovering faster and training harder than I have in years.
