My beautiful Mumsy (pictured) passed away from pancreatic cancer 16 years ago this year. After her diagnosis, we only had a very short 8 months with her. I was extremely grateful to be by her side the day she passed, alongside all family who loved her.

The most worrying thing for me personally is that, as with many pancreatic cancer patients, more often than not, by the time a diagnosis comes for this particular cancer, is that it's far too late. Mum was in Stage 4 by the time she was diagnosed. This is why I have specifically chosen any donations that come in go to Pancare - who specifically support upper GI cancers.
