Why we're taking part
We are taking part in Dry July in memory of my mum, Lorena, who was diagnosed with and sadly passed away from bowel cancer.
This month is about more than just giving up alcohol for me — it’s about honouring her life, her strength, and everything she meant to our family.
Bowel cancer doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed, it affects everyone who loves them. We experienced that first-hand, and it’s something that stays with you long after they’re gone.
I’m doing this to keep her memory alive in a positive way, and to help raise funds and awareness.
This one is for you, Mum.
