Thanks to your support in Dry July 2026, The Royal Melbourne Hospital raised an incredible $28,479 to improve comfort, recovery and supportive care for people affected by cancer.

A range of patient-focused projects across the hospital will be supported through the funds raised. This includes patient care packs, medical equipment such as devices that help clinicians locate veins more easily, healthy food and exercise equipment for patients.

Together, these initiatives can make a big difference to patients and families navigating cancer treatment, helping them feel more comfortable, cared for and supported throughout treatment, recovery and beyond.

"Dry July is about so much more than giving up alcohol, it’s about giving comfort and support to cancer patients and their families when they need it most.

As our patients and families are often doing it a bit harder than we are, every contribution makes a difference, helping improve their comfort, dignity and wellbeing during some of their toughest times.
