Thanks to your support in Dry July 2026 the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation raised an incredible $5,180 which will provide safe and reliable transport for people travelling to and from cancer treatment.

The funds will support the Cancer Patient Transport Service (pictured below), which more than 2,000 local patients rely on each year. By providing reliable transport, the service will help ease the stress and financial pressure of treatment and ensure more people can access the care they need, when they need it.

"Each week, hundreds of cancer patients come through our oncology departments facing a difficult treatment road ahead. We know that when people don’t have access to reliable, affordable transport, they may miss vital appointments – for some, getting life-saving treatment can come down to simply being able to get there.

With the support of Dry July, Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s Cancer Patient Transport Service helps remove that barrier, providing transport so patients can focus on what matters most: their treatment and recovery. We’re incredibly grateful to every Dry July fundraiser helping us keep patients moving towards the care they need."
