Two years ago, I was diagnosed with a stage 4 melanoma lesion and underwent skin graft surgery. Thankfully, I only have to have 3 monthly skin checkups, and the melanoma had not spread. I know how fortunate I am compared to many others facing cancer.

Anyone who knows me knows I enjoy a beer, so taking on Dry July won’t be the easiest challenge. But giving up alcohol for a month is a small sacrifice when it comes to raising funds for people and families who are going through far more difficult battles than I did.

I’m taking part in Dry July to give back, raise awareness, and help support those who aren’t as lucky as I was. Any donation, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.
