Hello everyone,

This July, I am once again participating in Dry July Foundation in support of a cause that means everything to me.

In 2023, I lost my dad — my best friend — to oesophageal cancer. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss him. I miss his voice, his support, and the way he made everything feel okay. Losing him has changed me forever, and there is a space in my life that will never be filled.

Over the past two years, my family has also said goodbye to my two uncles and my brother’s mother, Patricia. Cancer has taken so much from us, and that’s why raising awareness and funding for research is so important to me.

I’m raising funds for Pancare Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting people affected by upper gastrointestinal cancers, including oesophageal cancer. The work they do — from research to patient support — gives hope to families going through the unimaginable.

By taking part in Dry July, I feel a deep connection to my dad and to everyone we’ve lost. This is my way of honouring him and helping make a difference so that other families don’t have to experience this kind of loss.
