Why I’m Taking Part
4 years to the day on 1 July 2022 I went into Surgery to have a carcinoma removed from the base of my tongue and two lymph nodes removed on each side of my neck. I'm happy to say that since that surgery I've been clear but not everyone is as lucky as myself to have the cancer found and removed so quickly. While there will always be lasting effects and physical scars, Dry July is a reminder that there is the need for continued support in the fight with cancer.
