Haha oof... my mum transferred me money to donate on her behalf... as a result, the platform doesn't let me thank myself for donating regardless of the name I put... so now it just looks like I blanked my mum! 😝😬

I'm at 9 days today. I don't feel materially different, but I am tired, and it's been a grumpy month, mostly work-related frustrations that are coincidental and I really would have liked to have a quiet whisky to relax and reflect. Tea doesn't quite hit the mark here!

In 2024 I stopped drinking from 29 June, through until CraigO's funeral on the 8th of July. That was 9 days. Probably the longest alcohol-free streak I'd done since I had Covid-19 in January 2022.

Then from the 9th to the 26th I didn't drink, 18 days. Pretty good run!

I had planned to drink at a party on the 27th, and did. Then I didn't drink again until dinner at friends' on the 2nd of August. Another 5 days. So that wasn't a bad run at all. 32 days alcohol-free out of 34 days from 29 June to 1 August.

This year I'm performing at a Winter Ball on 1 August, so it'll be a gentle return to red wine and whisky.
