Ocular melanoma is a rare subtype of melanoma within Australia’s national cancer landscape. Although it accounts for a small proportion of melanoma diagnoses, its impact is significant and often under-recognised.

The Dry for Eyes team has been formed to raise awareness of this rare melanoma subtype, improve visibility, and support enhanced supportive care for those affected.

This includes strengthening understanding across the community, improving recognition of patient needs, and contributing to better support pathways for individuals and families navigating this diagnosis.
