Our team, *Close Encounters of the Dry Kind*, is going alcohol-free this July in memory of Dad, Garry Couper.

Dad was a lover of the stars, the universe, a good beer, and a nice glass of wine. In fact, he'd probably consider voluntarily giving up alcohol for a month to be one of the more outrageous decisions we've ever made.

Sadly, Dad passed away on 27 May 2026 after a sudden battle with pneumonia, unfortunately the underlying lymphoma (mantle cell lymphoma) preventing his recovery.

This Dry July, we're swapping beers for good deeds and raising funds for Lymphoma Australia to support patients and families facing lymphoma. We're pretty sure Dad would be shaking his head at the "dry" part, but we'd like to think he'd be proud of the reason behind it.
