Help people affected by cancer. Read more...
Lung Foundation Australia is the only charity and leading peak body of its kind in Australia that funds life-changing research and delivers support services that give hope to people living with lung disease or lung cancer. Since 1990, we have been working to ensure lung health is a priority for all, from promoting lung health and early diagnosis, advocating for policy change and research investment, raising awareness about the symptoms and prevalence of lung disease and championing equitable access to treatment and care.
Lung Foundation Australia (LFA) is a trusted source of information and support for people diagnosed with lung cancer and their caregivers with over 4,000 enquiries managed annually and growing. Our service provision is founded on our free telephone-based Lung Cancer Support Nursing and Lung Cancer Social Work programs.
The Lung Cancer Support Nurse service provides support for patients, their families and carers at any stage of their lung cancer journey via highly experienced oncology staff delivering evidence-based information designed to empower patients, their families and caregivers to work with their healthcare team to make informed choices about the treatment and management of their lung cancer, whilst also addressing their supportive care needs and providing guidance about other relevant support services.

Important Note
Dry July is a fundraising campaign aimed at challenging social drinkers to change their habits for a month and make some healthy lifestyle changes. We would encourage people to drink responsibly and stick to the recommended daily guidelines for the rest of the year. We advise heavy drinkers or people dependent on alcohol to speak with their GP before signing up to Dry July.
