Patients are the reason we are here – they are the focus of what we do.

Alfred Cancer provides world-class cancer treatment, care and compassion to the people of Melbourne and Victoria.

Each year, The Alfred treats thousands of people living with cancer.

The Alfred’s cancer services allow for close clinical coordination with a range of cancer specialists, including surgeons, medical oncologists, haematologists, radiation oncologists nursing and allied health specialists. The palliative care service is also a critical service within Alfred Cancer to ensure symptom management and end of life care is addressed.

By joining Team Alfred this Dry July, you will help raise funds for projects including patient transport, scalp cooling equipment to help reduce hair loss during chemotherapy, a side effect of treatment, patient wellbeing and music therapy for people affected by cancer.

Important Note

Dry July is a fundraising campaign aimed at challenging social drinkers to change their habits for a month and make some healthy lifestyle changes. We would encourage people to drink responsibly and stick to the recommended daily guidelines for the rest of the year. We advise heavy drinkers or people dependent on alcohol to speak with their GP before signing up to Dry July.
