Help people affected by cancer. Read more...
Patients are the reason we are here – they are the focus of what we do.
Alfred Cancer provides world-class cancer treatment, care and compassion to the people of Melbourne and Victoria.
Each year, The Alfred treats thousands of people living with cancer.
The Alfred’s cancer services allow for close clinical coordination with a range of cancer specialists, including surgeons, medical oncologists, haematologists, radiation oncologists nursing and allied health specialists. The palliative care service is also a critical service within Alfred Cancer to ensure optimal symptom management and end of life care. Our Integrative Oncology and Wellness Centre provides a calm, supportive environment for Alfred Cancer outpatients including care from our multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient- centred care that is focused on physical, emotional and psychological health and wellbeing.
By joining Team Alfred this Dry July, you will help raise funds towards projects like the refurbishment of our Radiotherapy waiting room. Refurbishing this waiting room is important because patients often spend extended, repeated periods in this space during a highly stressful time in their lives. A calm, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed environment can reduce anxiety, support emotional wellbeing and enhance the overall patient experience during cancer treatment.

Important Note
Dry July is a fundraising campaign aimed at challenging social drinkers to change their habits for a month and make some healthy lifestyle changes. We would encourage people to drink responsibly and stick to the recommended daily guidelines for the rest of the year. We advise heavy drinkers or people dependent on alcohol to speak with their GP before signing up to Dry July.
