I learnt pretty young that cancer doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t care if you’re healthy, unhealthy, fit, lazy, young or old. It affects way too many people, and the least we can do as a community is raise money to make it a little easier for those doing it tough.
This one’s personal for me. My dad is in remission, and I’m grateful every single day that he’s cancer free. Growing up with a mum who worked as an oncology nurse also meant I’ve heard so many stories about other amazing people and families that have been impacted.
So I’m doing this for my dad - the strongest man I’ve ever met, my mother - the most caring wife, mother & nurse to ever live, and also for everyone whose lives have been touched by cancer.
Not drinking for a whole month is going to be a massive challenge for me, but it’s nothing compared to what so many people go through. Any donation, big or small, really means a lot!
If anyone wants to join me and go dry for the month - I urge you to do it!! 💘
