Why Amy goes Dry For July

Amy’s partner Jackson was diagnosed with leukaemia at just 24 years old.

With their European holiday just two weeks away, everything was put on hold when Jackson was diagnosed with leukaemia in May 2023. Amy decided to participate in Dry July while Jackson underwent his treatment, as a way to raise funds for others affected by cancer. “The support these Foundations are able to give is incredible – they can provide housing for people close to the hospital, they provide emotional support, and physical support… There is endless amounts of support”.

How your fundraising and donations make a difference

The funds raised through Dry July will provide invaluable services to cancer patients, their families and carers – whether it’s a lift to a life-saving appointment, guidance from a specialist nurse, connection to an informative voice, access to therapy programs or a bed close to treatment.

Everything we fund benefits the cancer patient and their families and carers. We aim to make a difficult time, a little easier for people affected by cancer.
