Dry July: One month without alcohol for a good cause

In July, an average of 11,526 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer. No one asks for cancer, so we're asking Aussies to help, and go Dry this July to raise funds for people affected by cancer.

Funds raised through Dry July go towards cancer support organisations across Australia, to help improve patient comfort, care and wellbeing.

Having a Dry July also has great personal health benefits. Each year our participants report sleeping better, having more energy and productivity and of course, no hangovers! So you're not only helping others, you're helping yourself. It's a win-win!

What is Dry July?

Dry July challenges you to go alcohol-free in July while raising funds for cancer patients and their families.

A comfier chair, a brighter waiting room, a lift to an appointment, or a complimentary massage; these are just some of the ways Dry July fundraising helps to improve the comfort, care and wellbeing of people affected by cancer.

How it works

The rules of Dry July are simple; sign up and stop drinking for the month of July. We also ask that you reach out to family and friends during the month and ask them to sponsor you for taking part. The money you raise will make a huge difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.

Help people affected by cancer and sign up for a Dry July

Dry July is a fundraiser that challenges people to give up alcohol for the month of July. It is a great opportunity to challenge yourself to quit drinking for July to reap the long term benefits of an improved wellbeing and lifestyle, reduced risks of health problems, saving money and having a fresh approach to alcohol consumption.

Important Note

Dry July is a fundraising campaign aimed at challenging social drinkers to change their habits for a month and make some healthy lifestyle changes. We would encourage people to drink responsibly and stick to the recommended daily guidelines for the rest of the year. We advise heavy drinkers or people dependent on alcohol to speak with their GP before signing up to Dry July.
