Overview

It's been an exciting journey for Dry July. What began as a challenge amongst friends in 2007 has now grown into a national fundraising campaign benefiting thousands of people. In the four fundraising campaigns to date; over 26,000 people have signed up to the challenge of a Dry July, raising an incredible $6.8million for adult cancer patients Australia-wide.

Working closely with our beneficiary hospitals we are excited to be able to document the full circle of each Dry July campaign here in our ‘Outcomes’ section of the website. From media launches and cheque handovers, right through to details and photos of how and where the funds raised have been utilised by our hospital partners to benefit adult cancer patients.

Whether you donated, participated or are thinking of getting involved next year; we hope you take the time to click into each section to find out more about the difference Dry July funds are making for cancer patients at a hospital near you.

Below is a snapshot of the Dry July campaigns to date. We look forward to building on this level of growth over the coming years, in-turn making people more aware of the health benefits a month off the booze brings, whilst documenting the tangible differences we can make to the lives of adults living with cancer.

By increasing the number of participants over the campaign years, we are ultimately increasing awareness both around alcohol consumption and the number of adults living with cancer in our local communities. We hope this in turn encourages people to make healthier lifestyle choices and become more aware of the importance of early detection through annual health check-ups and consultations.
