Tim joined Adelaide’s leading television news service, Seven News, in early May – immediately making an impression on Seven’s loyal news viewers as a reporter and fill in weather presenter.
Tim is a veteran of radio and has worked at stations all around Australia, including Geraldton, Perth, Port Macquarie, Sydney and Canberra.
Tim found the best place to tell stories was in South Australia, so that’s where he decided to stay.
Tim joined ABC television as a booth announcer in 1987 – his first job in media. Later that year he moved to Port Macquarie working for ABC radio, and then on to Geraldton, also with ABC Radio.
In 1991 Tim moved to Perth for two years, before working in FM radio in Canberra for another two years from 1993.
Tim returned to ABC Radio in Canberra in 1995 and then finally to Adelaide in 1998.
In Adelaide Tim worked as a roving reporter for the high rating Bald Brothers breakfast program as well as Mathew Abraham and David Bevan on 891 ABC, before joining Seven earlier this year.
