The other good or bad thing is that Margot my long suffering wife is also doing it with me.....so it's also going to be very tense at home.....watch out kids...you're in for an exciting Dry July ......

Bio

Jono is a veteran radio announcer, television personality, writer and performer of comedy in both Australia and the UK.

He created a name for himself in the 80s through Simon Townsend's Wonder World, and as one half of The Jono and Dano Show, that spanned programs over Triple J, 2SM, Triple M and the Seven Network.

Jono has been credited as being one of Australia's most successful exports to the UK as the former host of the number one commercial breakfast show Jono and Harriet on UK's Heart 106.2FM, LBC's weekend show on 97.3 and breakfast on London's BBC radio 94.9FM.

On UK television, Jono appeared regularly on the breakfast TV show GMTV where he presented new music releases.

Jono continues to record segments for GMTV now that he is back in Sydney.

Jono's UK television credits include - Jonathan Coleman's Swing Shift (BSkyB), Exclusive (Channel 5), Mixing It (Bazal Productions for Channel 5), Blind Taste (Carlton TV), This Morning (ITV), GMTV (ITV) and Fit Club (ITV).

His recent Australian television credits include Sunrise, Mornings with Kerri-Anne, Good News Week, Ready Steady Cook, 20 to 1, Spicks & Specks and Talkin' Bout Your Generation.

Starting his professional life as a copywriter Jono is a humorous writer and has had regular columns including a restaurant review Coleman's Bowls in UK's Punch, Lad's Night In for the London Evening Standard every Friday in the London Evening Standard (2 years) and The Daily Star newspaper (5 years). Jono remains a regular contributor to OK! Magazine (Australian and UK editions) and his other writing credits include The Times Travel section and Decanter Magazine in the UK.

Jono returned to Sydney in December 2006 after 16 years in London. Together with MCM Entertainment Jono created the radio show, The Jonathan Coleman Experience co-hosted by Julia Zemiro. The show aired on The Classic Hits Network (ARN) in drive time for two years.

Jono was the co-host of Australia's largest syndicated radio show, My Generation from 2004 to 2010. In July 2010 My Generation reached a radio milestone airing its 600th episode.

The Jono & Dano Show returned to air in 2009 during drive time for the ARN network and is sydndicated around Australia. A recent highlight of the show included the daily live broadcasts from the original Twinings Tea Shop in London to cover the Royal Wedding. A fantastic way to celebrate Jono & Dano's 30 years in radio together.
