Bio
According to Jeremy's Mum Rose, "Jeremy has been acting his whole life". As a boy, he spent hours entertaining his family and friends, often dressing up in his mother's clothes and lip synching to hit songs. This passion for performing continued into his school days at Newington College, where he was an active participant in school plays and musicals. Jeremy chose to pursue his love of Drama at The University of Newcastle, completing a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Drama and Sociology. It was here that his more formal acting career began after he was nominated Best Actor, for his role in ORDINARY MAN?, which he also co-wrote, co-produced and co-directed. This inspired his stage career which includes TAKE ME OUT for the Melbourne Theatre Company(Green Room Awards Nomination 2005) and TABOOS at the New End Theatre in London.
After graduating from university, Jeremy made his debut on television as Kurt Peterson in the hit TV show, HEARTBREAK HIGH (1997-98). Since then he has appeared in numerous TV shows including STINGERS, SOMETHING IN THE AIR, BLUE HEELERS, MARSHALL LAW, THE SECRET LIFE OF US, McLEOD'S DAUGHTERS, FALSE WITNESS( for which he was nominated for an AFI Award in 2009), RESCUE:SPECIAL OPS, CITY HOMICIDE, COPS:LAC, DANCE ACADEMY. Jeremy is perhaps best known for his role as the beloved "BUFFER" in SEA PATROL I,II,and III.
Recently Jeremy guest starred with fellow DRY JULY ambassador Daniel Macpherson on Ch7s upcoming tv series WILD BOYS. According to Jeremy his "role of a lifetime" has been his portrayal of 1920s underworld figure, Norman Bruhn in the eagerly anticipated Ch9 drama, UNDERBELLY:RAZOR.
