"Bec has been working at ACE Radio Broadcasters as a breakfast announcer for the last two and half years. What she was doing prior isn't really worth mentioning as it would launch into a discussion of various jobs she had that saw her wear parachute pants and a Mexican tapestry vest .
Working on a breakfast radio show is great fun, according to Bec, as it's the one job where she can just talk ‘junk' to earn a living. Bec would describe the brekky gig as the perfect job, if only the show began at 9am.
WHY AM I DOING DRY JULY?
Well it just so happens that Dry July couldn't have come at a better time.
Feeling a bit sluggish and noticing my hips and bum trying to escape out of the top of my pants, I recently signed up for a bit of a health and fitness kick.
I can give away the chocolate, the cheese and biccies and the large chips drenched in the wonderful invention that is Nando's Perinaise....but could I give up alcohol?
So in a bid to improve my health and lose some kg's, raise money for a great cause and to basically stick it to all my family, friends, co-workers and the guy that works the Friday afternoon shift at the drive thru bottleshop, who reckon I can't do it - I'm going without my favourite beers, ciders and wine for a month! A whole month!
Sure - it has crossed my mind to remove myself from the social scene for the entire month, but I would like to prove to myself and others that you can still have a great time out without having to drink."
