Preparing

To ensure your body doesn't go into shock on the 1st July, we encourage DJs to do some minor preparation so as not to send your body into meltdown.

Do: reduce your normal weekly intake of alcohol in the build-up to Dry July.

Don't: embark on the mother of all drinking sessions on the 30th June. Cold turkey is never fun.

Do: acquaint yourself with the wide variety of delicious non-alcoholic beverages at your disposal. Mmmm, ginger beer!

Don't: stock your fridge with beer, wine and spirits. After all, you can't shoot yourself if the rifle isn't loaded.

Do: enjoy the feeling of waking up without a hangover on the weekend.

Don't: fall off the wagon.

Do: drink moderately after your successful completion of Dry July and allow your body time to adjust to alcohol again.

Don't: celebrate the 1st August by entering yourself in a tequila shot competition.

Know your limits and drink responsibly.
