We understand people live busy social lives and that taking on the challenge of being alcohol free for the whole of July can be potentially very difficult.

With this in mind, we have introduced the 'Golden Ticket' which allows the DJ participant to drink on a nominated day throughout Dry July.

A Golden Ticket is a donation made through the DJ's (Dry July participant) profile page.

How much are those drinks really worth to you??

We recognise the temptation of our Golden Tickets, however we wouldn't want the good people participating in Dry July or their donors to think they can easily have a night off the wagon.

We are giving people the opportunity to donate what they see to be a 'fair and just' amount for a Golden Ticket, minimum cost being $25.00.

In other words... how much are those drinks really worth to you??

On completion of the donation the DJ participant will be emailed their 'Golden Ticket' stating the date they are entitled to drink.

Dry July encourages responsible drinking and we respect that you know your limits.

Head To Head

There's nothing like a bit of healthy competition to help raise funds for a great cause! Head to Head challenges allow you to compete against friends/family and peers to see who can raise the most money.

After seeing Adam Spencer (ABC Local Radio 702 Sydney) pulling Richard Glover around in a rickshaw full of potatoes for losing his Head to Head challenge last year… we had a bright idea! Let's introduce a good old harmless penalty foreit to spice things up! Therefore this year, not only can you set up a Head to Head challenge… but you can create a penalty foreitforfeit for the loser.

You'll need to be logged into your Dry July account area to set up your Head to Head challenges and penalty foreitforfeit with friends or teams. We've also added the ability to comment on each other's fundraising achievements.

Need a bit of 'penalty forfeit' inspiration…. check out these as potentials...

  • I will buy you a new pair of shoes with my unspent beer money if you raise more than me!
  • You owe me dinner if I beat you!
  • You lose… you do the dishes for 2 weeks!
  • There's a case of beer on the line.
  • You have to sit through a chick flick with me and enjoy it!

Designated Dryver™

Going Dry this July? Not drinking for the whole month? Still going out with friends to socialise? Always driving because you are dry? Why not turn this into a fundraising opportunity!

Get your friends to show their appreciation of your commitment to Dry July and willingness to chauffeur them around by allowing them to donate to you as their Designated Dryver™.

The Designated Dryver™ feature is set up via your logged in account area. Here you can set the date you’ll be driving and email 4 friends you are happy to drive on the night. They then head to your Designated Dryver™ page, select a seat (have to be quick for the shotgun seat) and make a donation in support of your Dry July.
