In 2009 Dry July set itself up as a recognised national, not for profit, charitable organisation (ABN 88 497 552 964).
The Dry July Foundation is a registered charity approved by the Australian Tax Office.
We hold the following:
- Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status
- GST Concession
- Income Tax Exemption
How are you spending the money?
We are conscious that your donation gets to those that need it most, adults living with cancer.
With this in mind the Dry July Foundation operates to a fundraising ratio of 80/20. This means 80 cents in every dollar raised goes directly to the beneficiary hospitals.
It is our intention to be an efficient, accountable, low cost, transparent and effective charitable organisation.
Given the level of involvement Dry July requires to operate, the remaining 20 cents in every dollar is utilised to cover, but is not limited to, campaign running costs such as web hosting, online transaction fees, marketing, promotion, merchandise, travel, employee costs and insurance.
Dry July adheres favourably to the FIA (Fundraising Institute of Australia) fundraising ratio. If you would like to know more about fundraising ratios, please visit the FIA website. http://www.fia.org.au
Dry July is fully audited by Forsythes.
